TITLE: 24 Hour Supervision Services

POLICY

The Fifth Judicial District management team will carry a cell phone or handheld device 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The number will be given to all staff and local law enforcement. The management team will be required to respond to the needs of its offender and local law enforcement as soon as they are able.

The Fifth Judicial District's high risk unit members will carry a cell phone 24 hours a day 7 days a week. High risk officers will give their cell phone numbers to their offenders. Officers shall respond to the offenders needs as soon as they are able.

PROCEDURE

  1. The Fifth Judicial District Department of Correctional Services management team will carry a cell phone or handheld device to carry on their person during their assigned week.
    1. The District management team will respond to any calls as soon as they are able.
    2. The District management team will be required to complete an Incident Report to the Executive Team, if the situation dictates.
  2. High risk officers are issued a cell phone to carry with them 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
    1. Offenders will be given their supervising officer's cell phone number, to use when needed, to address issues that arise during the day or evening.
    2. Officers will respond to their offenders as soon as they are able.
    3. Officers will be required to complete an Incident Report to the Executive Team if the situation dictates.
