TITLE: Interstate Compact

POLICY

The Fifth Judicial District Department of Correctional Services will abide by all policies and procedures set forth by the Interstate Commission for Adult Offender Supervision as approved by the Iowa State Legislature effective August 1, 2004.

PROCEDURE

  1. The supervising officer will be provided training regarding the policies and procedures set forth by the Interstate Commission for Adult Offender Supervision adopted by the State of Iowa on August 1, 2004.
  2. Each supervising officer will be provided access to the Interstate Commission for Adult Offender Supervision rules through the public folders on the computer.
  3. Supervising officers will follow the rules and procedures set forth by the Interstate Commission for Adult Offender Supervision adopted by the State of Iowa on August 1, 2004.
  4. The Interstate Commission for Adult Offender Supervision policies and procedures can be located by following the steps below:
    1. Go to Microsoft Outlook,
    2. Go to Public Folders,
    3. Go to Department of Corrections,
    4. Go to Central Office,
    5. Go to Offender Services,
    6. Go to Interstate Compact,
    7. Go to Interstate Compact Policies and Procedures.
  5. Supervising officers will utilize the Interstate Commission for Adult Offender Supervision forms which are found in the District's Template file following the steps below:
    1. Go to Microsoft Word,
    2. Go to File,
    3. C. Go to New,
    4. Go to Templates (middle right-hand side of the page),
    5. Go to On my computer,
    6. Scroll down to IC - Action Request through IC - Travel Permit (twenty eight forms total).
