Issue Review - Community Based Corrections Funding Levels
This Issue Review examines the funding levels within the Community Based Corrections (CBC) District Departments compared to the offender populations, risk and supervision levels, and recidivism rates to consider whether current funding allocations are appropriate. The majority of offenders in corrections are supervised by the CBC District Departments.
One Stop Reentry
One Stop Reentry services are provided to Black male offenders in the 1st and 5th districts. One Stop Reentry began in February 2009 in the 5th district and March 2009 in the 1st district. The Fifth Judicial District developed a reentry initiative that has focused on the provision of culturally sensitive case management and programming. Click on the link below to view the full report.
